Amboseli National Park is famous for huge herds of Elephants and the scenic view of Mt. Kilimanjaro that stretches across the border of Tanzania.
On February 4th, 2020 the famous park suffered the loss of a legend of its kind known to many as <em>Tim the Elephant. </em>News of Tim's death spread far and wide and trended online as many who knew and loved him expressed their accolades and sadness in equal measure.
Many however celebrated his majestic strength and stature stating that Big Tim died of natural causes as opposed to premature poaching which is common with many elephants.
In an article published by <a href="https://biglife.org/news-events/bush-journal/a-big-milestone-for-a-big-elephant-happy-birthday-tim">Big Life Foundation</a> on 24th of January 2019 to celebrate his 50th birthday, Tim exemplified admirable resilience through out his life and endured many difficulties to become one of Kenya's LAST BIG TUSKER ELEPHANT.
